Well Monday night got pretty exciting. I had the pleasure of directing the live stream for the California Science Center while they moved Endeavour to her launch position in the new (partially built) Samuel OschinĀ Air and Space Center. Special thanks to Melissa Eccles for having me along to hang with an old friend a little longer. It was incredible to see and to have a small part in it. #endeavour

Here’s the review I left on Google Maps:

Was fortunate enough to have a meal at Cured on the evening of January 3rd. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating to dietary restrictions and a picky six year old.

I started with the mushroom soup which was pleasantly earthy and slightly sweet. In fact, I’m still thinking about that soup. I also tried the catfish fingers which were light and crispy and paired with a wonderful mustard dipping sauce. Oh and the brussel sprouts. Nicely charred and tossed in a slightly sweet sauce.

My main course was the gnocchi in a coconut tikka masala. The gnocchi was cooked perfectly and the sauce was a pleasant surprise. Snow peas balanced out the dish keeping it from feeling heavy or monotonous as gnocchi can often be.

I stuck with wine for the evening (and the wine list is nicely curated) but the cocktails that others ordered all looked great and were enjoyed.

Looking forward to coming back next time I come through town.
