Brewer’s Notes: Here’s a beer style originating out of Dusseldorf, Germany that we all refer to as Altbier. Fermented with the same yeast used for Kölsch, this is a sort of hybrid style of beer that gets fermented warmer than a lager, but then cold stored (lagered) until just right. Filtered to beautiful clarity, this one is dark amber in color, with lots of yummy dark fruit and toasted malt characteristics and a slight drying roast finish.
