A digital ink drawing that says inktober 25 with a pumpkin-like-gourd in the bg.

It’s almost here! #inktober #inktober2025

I was having some difficulty with posts here showing up on the Fediverse. I finally tracked down the problem. I used https://browser.pub/ to check my username and see what’s up. There I was seeing a webfinger error that the endpoint was undefined. After much searching I found this: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/alternatives-if-you-cant-edit-well-known/ and as I am indeed using Dreamhost going in and adding a .htaccess file to my .well-known directory and editing it as suggested on that page worked like a charm. I’m back! #fediverse #activitypub

Tarantula Hawk
A photo of a Thisbe's Tarantula-hawk Wasp feasting on a fig.

I was out pruning the fig tree and notices a large critter on a fig above me. To my surprise it was this handsome wasp! I’d never seen one in person before so I was quite excited to see it chewing away on the over-ripe figs. Of course I submitted the photo to iNaturalist. #wasp #tarantulahawk #figtree

A photo of a very dusty me standing in the wind as the strongest dust storm I've experienced finally calmed down.

It was the hardest year yet. And great. The man burns in 368 days. )'( https://www.drcarlscamp.com/2025/09/03/build-build-it-again-and-again/ #burningman #brc2025
